We are currently looking for a Tour Coordinator to join our team!  

Fixed Term until November 2025

As an NST Tour Coordinator, you will part of a team that builds inspiring school trip itineraries to help teachers and other Group Leaders bring learning to life.

Partnered with our Educational Travel Sales Advisors, and working closely with our in-house travel services teams, your role is to turn a great trip idea into a great trip reality, pulling all the essential elements together to make sure every second of every school trip go exactly to plan.

 


Reporting to our NST Operations Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Speaking to customers about the progress of their group travel plans by telephone and email.
  • Using your knowledge and experience to create exciting yet practical tour itineraries that deliver key student learning objectives
  • Using your communication and listening skills to ensure a good understanding of the specific needs of each traveling group, making sure any specific requests or reasonable adjustments have been catered for
  • Working closely with the Sales and Travel Services teams to ensure all aspects of the tour programme are in booked and ready for the Groups arrival
  • Finding solutions to manage pre travel and any “on tour” disruption effectively
  • Progress multiple tours concurrently to ensure all customer groups within your portfolio have a great NST Service experience
  • Building great long term relationships with your customers to secure repeat business.

To be considered for the role, the following skills and experience are essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years Telephone/Office based Customer Services /Contact Centre experience
  • IT Literate (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and MS Teams)
  • Fluency in English, with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to cope with change
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately and handle peaks and troughs in volume and pace of work
  • Grade C (minimum Grade 4) or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Able to participate in an out of hours emergency "on call" rota (approx 3 occasions/year)
