Business Model Canvas Workshop

An interactive session which delves deep into practical entrepreneurship thinking. From understanding the market place to knowing your competitors, your students will get to explore what it’s like to run their own business. 

An engaging presentation will be followed by a group activity in which students plan their very own business strategy. 

Guided Walking Tour of London City / Financial District

These two hour walks are geared to giving pupils an understanding of how the City has changed from its original commercial trading into arguably the world’s most diverse financial centre, with stocks, shares, bonds, gilts, hedge funds, investment banking, specialist and mainstream insurance, the largest foreign currency exchange market on the planet and all the “support” businesses that enable it to function like law, accountancy and assurance firms. 

 

Wembley Stadium Tour

Soak up the history of one of the world's most iconic venues during this 90-minute tour. Take your picture in Europe's largest press conference room, find the shirt of your favourite England player in the dressing rooms, and line up in the players tunnel before following in the footsteps of legends and walking out pitch-side.

Educational workshops are also available for English, History, P.E. and Business Studies / Travel and Tourism - following the national curriculum and exam board specifications and suitable for Key Stages 2-5. Term time only.

Business of Football - Chelsea FC

Aimed at business studies pupils, this tour provides an exciting insight into operations at the club. During the tour, pupils complete an education workbook with answers provided by an experienced guide. Focusing on merchandise, marketing, finance and staffing, the tour provides a great resource for coursework and revision which pupils of sport, leisure, tourism and marketing may also find informative.

Allianz Stadium Twickenham - Tour & Workshop

A tour of Allianz Stadium in Twickenham will take you into the hallowed England dressing room, giving you the chance to sit in the same place as your heroes. You’ll also visit the Royal Box, hospitality suites, medical room, players' tunnel and take in a breathtaking view of the arena from the top of the stand. 

The Stadium Director workshop introduces students to the principles and considerations involved in creating a world-class sports facility in a way that encourages teamwork and communication skills. They will need to consider economic, social and environmental factors when making their decisions as a team.

 

The Business of Wimbledon Guided Tour

This fascinating visit offers pupils an intriguing insight into the business behind Wimbledon to discover how the stadium has become the envy of the tennis world. The Business of Wimbledon guided tour includes a talk about the history of the stadium together with a visit to the museum and tour of the grounds.

Fuller’s Griffin Brewery

Established in 1845, this company is famous for its beer, pubs and hotels and is one of the UK’s largest independent brewers and retailers. As London’s only remaining traditional family brewer, this tour offers a fantastic opportunity for pupils over 16 years old to experience the history and heritage of a successful business that trades on the merits of both its products and its service.

The Museum of Brands

The Museum of Brands encourages visitors to discover how well-loved brands have evolved through creative use of packaging and advertising and how we, the public, have evolved with them. The permanent Time Tunnel exhibition explores how daily life has changed since the Victorian times and offers a view of the culture and lifestyle of our parents and grandparents. A regular rotation of temporary exhibitions put special moments in history into the spotlight and showcase the cutting edge of contemporary branding, packaging and advertising. 

A range of engaging curriculum-linked workshops for KS2-5 are also available to cover numerous topics including product development, brand evolution, customer profiling and sustainability. 

Fashion Enter – The Factory Uncovered

Over the last 17 years, Fashion Enter has given students a unique and invaluable insight into the world of fashion and garment production.

The two-hour site visit can be tailored to suit the group's studies, and includes:

  • The manufacturing process of a garment - from initial idea right through to delivery (The Garment Life Cycle)
  • The supply chain and challenges a supplier faces
  • Critical path
  • What makes the factory SMETA approved
  • Tour of the factory - review of the cutting table, industrial machines flat bed and over-locker, quality control stations
  • How long it takes to make a garment
  • How a garment is costed
  • Tour of the fashion studio - patterns, grading, toiles, sampling and small production runs

Bank of England Museum

The museum, housed within the Bank of England, traces the history of the bank from its foundation in 1694 to its role today as the nation’s central bank. The bank has had the responsibility of setting interest rates to control inflation since 1997, and also issues bank notes and works to maintain a stable financial system.  

The Legacy of London 2012 – Guided Olympic Site Tour

HALF & FULL DAY OPTION AVAILABLE

Come and witness the legacy of London 2012 and see the Olympic Park area following the exciting urban regeneration programme which transformed the face of East London. Your Blue Badge Guide can take you even closer to the venues, driving right next to the Velodrome, the BMX track, and the Olympic and the Paralympic Villages. The coach will travel around the edge of the Olympic Park before making a stop at the Olympic Stadium, the Aquatics Centre and the Orbit. The tour also affords fantastic views of the International Broadcast Centre and the Copper Box venue. Weather permitting, there are opportunities to get off the coach and explore.

You’ll then head to the Royal Docks to view ExCel, which hosted seven Olympic sports and five Paralympic sports. Then to Woolwich to see the magnificent facade of the Royal Artillery Barracks, the venue for shooting and for the Paralympic archery. The tour ends at Greenwich with a walk in the Park where the Equestrian events and the Modern Pentathlon had such a spectacular setting.

St Paul’s Cathedral - ‘Whose Business Is It?’ Themed Tour

Following a tour of this magnificent cathedral and crypt, pupils will take part in a workshop to discuss the challenges faced by this multi-purpose place of prayer and worship, business, venue for tourism and centre for the arts. A panel discussion can also be arranged with staff from departments including marketing, PR, retail and visitor services.

Old Bailey Insight Tour

A morning talk at the Viaduct Tavern opposite the Old Bailey, which includes a hot drink and a croissant. Hear about the fascinating history of the Old Bailey, and the places of interest around it, such as the pub where wealthy people rented rooms to get the best view of the public executions and an exclusive view of the old Newgate Prison gaol cells. Afterward, we can direct you straight to the most interesting cases on at the Old Bailey that day. For schools, colleges and universities, a special teachers’ information pack is available which includes a history of the Old Bailey and an Old Bailey timeline. 

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter

Step onto authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter™ film series. Tread the original stone floor of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall, encounter animatronic creatures and wander down Diagon Alley. Located at the Studios where all eight films were produced.

These lessons are delivered in purpose-built classrooms by qualified teachers and use the Harry Potter™ film series as an example of the wider context and theories surrounding filmmaking and design. Jack the Ripper Walking Tour

Discover firsthand the historical context of Whitechapel in the late 19th century as well as in-depth historical knowledge on Jack the Ripper.

This informative evening activity led by expert guides provides an insight into the crimes including what they reveal about the history and social conditions in the East End of London at the time. The site is also near Cable Street so the study visit can include work on 20th century protest.

Science Museum

The Science Museum is packed with awe-inspiring galleries, interactive resources and inspirational exhibitions. Your students can explore the hands-on galleries which cover a wide range of subject areas.

The museum also offers a great selection of curriculum-linked schools events and shows, and stunning 3D films in their IMAX Cinema.

The Tower of London

Help to develop pupils’ understanding on the nature of authority and attitudes to crime and punishment in the early modern period on their school trip to Tower of London. An ideal opportunity for a more in-depth study of Guy Fawkes and his  attempt to destroy the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

London Dungeon

The London Dungeon has been delighting audiences for over 40 years and brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, scenes and rides in an exciting walk-through experience that lets you see, hear and smell historic London and its perilous past. Get pupils thinking about spoken language and stage directions as they review script writing and explore the physical creation of a show as they look at the design process, including room layout, make-up and costume design and highlight the importance of historical accuracy in relation to topic, characters and set design.
