St Paul’s Cathedral - themed tours

At St Paul’s Cathedral, students can study an iconic Christian place of worship and learn about the beliefs and practices of the Church of England through a number of themed tours suitable for KS3-KS5, including: The World of Worship, The Bible: Is it Relevant in Today’s World?, The Big Issues, ‘Jesus’ Fact or Fiction for Today’s Society and Christianity Through Art & Design. General guided tours suitable for different age groups can also be provided.

Central Gurdwara

The Central Gurdwara (Khalsa Jatha) is the oldest established Sikh place of worship in Europe, originally formed to promote religious and social activities among the Sikhs who had settled in the UK.

Westminster Cathedral

Westminster Cathedral is London’s largest Catholic church and the mother church of the Catholic community in England and Wales. View the rich collection of mosaics and marbles around the magnificent building and witness spectacular views over London from The Tower Viewing Gallery. Guided tours suitable for different age groups can be provided.

London Central Mosque

The London Central Mosque (more commonly known as Regent’s Park Mosque), is an established part of the London landscape and provides guided tours for all ages, either with a basic general insight into Islamic belief and practice, or by arrangement, tours with a specific desired focus.

Bevis Marks Synagogue & West London Synagogue

The Bevis Marks Synagogue of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews, is the oldest in the United Kingdom. It can also be contrasted with the 19th century West London Synagogue which is the most famous Reform synagogue in the country. For groups studying Judaism, the Jewish Museum will also provide a thorough background on the history and development of the Jewish community here.

Neasden Temple

Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, known more commonly as Neasden Temple, is the first traditional Hindu Mandir (temple) in Europe and attracts half a million pilgrims and visitors every year. This dramatic building holds an ‘Understanding Hinduism’ exhibition - a concise, yet comprehensive study of the Hindu religion. Introductory talks to groups are available as well as downloadable worksheets.

Buddhapadipa Temple

This, the first Buddhist temple in the UK, was created with the objective of dissemination of theoretical and practical Buddhist teachings in Europe.

Imperial War Museum – The Holocaust Exhibition

A rich learning resource for students in Years 9-13. Visits include an orientation session to help prepare and focus students, a visit to the galleries and a feedback session to help students reflect on what they have learned.

National Archives Holocaust Workshops

This fascinating session begins with a look at the events happening in Nazi-occupied Europe leading up to the outbreak of World War II. Your students will study telegrams, radio intercepts and reports received by the Foreign Office between 1938 and 1944 and will learn about how the events in Nazi-occupied territories unfolded.

The Wiener Holocaust Library

The Wiener Library is one of the world’s leading and most extensive archives on the Holocaust and Nazi era. Formed in 1933, the Library’s unique collection of over a million items includes published and unpublished works, press cuttings, photographs and eyewitness testimony. 

Workshops can be booked covering a variety of themes relating to the Nazi era and genocide, including prejudice and discrimination, propaganda and genocide, and resistance and rescue. In addition, talks can be arranged on themes including Jewish refugees to Britain, the Kindertransport scheme, Kristallnacht and the genocide against the Roma.

A classroom with a moving view! Standing 135m tall on the South Bank of the River Thames, nothing says iconic like The lastminute.com London Eye.

Since 2000, this world-famous structure has taken over 75 million people on a journey into London’s skyline. Be inspired with our Skyline Workshops. At an additional cost, these enhanced in-pod experiences are delivered by our education hosts and include interactive activities and interesting facts on London's iconic skyline.

Developed in collaboration with education specialists, teachers can book either a KS2/KS3 version.

A West End show is a magical and unforgettable experience and a must for groups visiting the city! Catch a show at one of the capital's famous theatres with tickets to an array of award-winning plays and spectacular musicals, including the Lion King and Wicked!

A trip to the capital isn’t complete without a little shopping time! We recommend Covent Garden as a suitable area for groups to explore and watch the street performers.

Take in London’s best-loved sights on this enjoyable cruise. Your students will gain an insight into the many layers of history that have built up along the river, from the Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge to the 'lastminute.com' London Eye.

The View from The Shard

The View from The Shard offers a unique education experience – it is the only place where students can see the entire city at once; both old and new! Two high speed kaleidoscopic lifts will transport your group to the viewing platforms on Level 69 and Level 72 where you can encourage your student’s fascination with the history of London and enjoy the unparalleled 360 degree views.

Educational visits can support learning across both the National and London Curriculum, including History, English, Maths, Geography, and Art and Design.

Wembley Stadium Tour

Soak up the history of one of the world's most iconic venues during this 90-minute tour. Take your picture in Europe's largest press conference room, find the shirt of your favourite England player in the dressing rooms, and line up in the players tunnel before following in the footsteps of legends and walking out pitch-side.

Educational workshops are also available for English, History, P.E. and Business Studies / Travel and Tourism - following the national curriculum and exam board specifications and suitable for Key Stages 2-5. Term time only.

Royal Courts of Justice - Freedom of Religious Expression Session

Suitable for KS3/4 groups - The Freedom of Religious Expression case looks at a real appeal against a well-known company. It explores the right to religious expression in the form of wearing a religious symbol to work.  This fascinating session considers the role of the European Convention on Human Rights in people’s everyday lives and looks at tolerance, rights and religious conviction.

Westminster Abbey

Kings, queens, statesmen and soldiers; poets, priests, heroes and villains - the Abbey is a must-see living pageant of British history. Located in the heart of London, this wonderful 700-year-old building offers highly-popular tours and subject-linked workshops for a range of subjects including Religious Studies, History, STEM and Literacy.
